Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Wall of crosses~Live Every Moment 031811

There's a store in Williams, AZ which we always visit. It's on Route 66, across from the jeep tour office there in town. Every time we go there, we buy another cross for our daughter, who puts them on a wall in her house. I caught the cross wall in the early morning light on our last visit. Isn't it interesting? That's a beautiful picture--the light and shadow make it even more interesting because you want to see what's hiding.

Thanks Cheryl Ann for visiting my blog. Good luck with your OTTB. I highly recommend grooming and grazing and slowly tacking and walking along side. Then, slowly walking in the ring and then out a little distance at a time until you are walking every day anywhere you want. It works. Always be kind and go slow and you will have fun!
