Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Bridal Shower

With the weather yesterday as windy as it was on Saturday, I stayed home. Actually, I took a two hour LONG walk and rejoined the Living Desert. I was able to walk around their facility and take some photos. I'm glad I rejoined them, since with the time change, I won't be able to take my morning walks. I used to walk their trails in the afternoon after school and I'm looking forward to doing that again, especially this week, when temps go back up into the 80's. On another note, Jennifer's bridal shower was yesterday afternoon and a good time was had by all! We did some games. I especially liked the one, "What's in your purse?" You make a list of about 30 items and whoever has the most, wins a prize! Of course, I had a camera, hand sanitizer, a receipt, an envelope, and CASH! HA! Almost nobody carries cash, right? I didn't have a paper clip, a book of matches, or a nail file, however. It was fun! My aunt and uncle drove over from San Diego. They will be moving into their new house in Del Webb's Sun City at the end of the month and they gave Jennifer the piano bench for her present! I didn't know that Jennifer, in addition to her young flute students, has a woman student. The woman also lives in Sun City and she and my aunt were able to compare notes! It will be a busy month, but next weekend SHOULD be clear and calm and warm and I'll be able to visit the horses again.

That game sounded fun. I'm glad you had a great time at the Bridal shower.
The long walk sounds like something I'd enjoy, too. But only if the weather is nice. Lucky you for having some beautiful weather. :)

Want some snow?

lol!

Does she like her older student? I'm quite curious about that, as you may guess. Sounds like a great day!
