The ranch where I board my horses. That's Sunni in the arena, February 2016.
Desert Horses
Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Hello! Who are you?
I like this photo of Gigondas meeting Molly. At one time, she would have just turned her back to Molly and walked away. Now, however, she is interested in meeting people! Good girl!
When a horse sniffs like that I always blow gently into their nostrils. They love it -- you can see how their nostrils widen, and hear them start sniffing frantically to take in my scent. :o)
