Hubby and I have been driving up to the ranch in the late afternoons because it is just too hot in the daytime. By 9:00 a.m. some days, I can no longer work the horses, especially now that the humidity is back. There is a forecast for "mountain and desert thunderstorms" this afternoon. I took these photos earlier in the week, on one of the evenings there were a few clouds, but they weren't overwhelming, like last night. No, there wasn't a fire in the area. This was just one huge cloud that was hanging over the area. SkyWatch Friday, July 24, 2009
Desert Horses
Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

I'm wondering if we will have to go back down the mountain in these heavy rains! Isn't there always something to worry about?!
I like the photo of that horse. Special.
And your cloud and sky photos are special as well.
