Hubby and I took another late afternoon drive yesterday afternoon. We drove up Schulz Road, near Flagstaff, which is a 13 mile dirt road. While we didn't see any wildlife, we saw a part of the San Francisco peaks that we had never seen before. After that we drove back out to Sunset Crater and Volcano, since it was cool enough to actually enjoy it. The late afternoon sunlight and colors were beautiful, especially against the quaking aspen. Then, since we had plenty of daylight left, we drove out to the Wupatki ruins, at the edge of the Painted Desert.
