Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Sunni saddled. He was very good. Only slightly bucked a couple of times, then he calmly walked around the round pen. GOOD BOY! Next is Sunni checking out Dad's funny hat.

Do you train the horses on your own or do you have a special trainer? He is a brilliant horse by the way!
I had a trainer until this fall. Now I'm doing it on my own.
