Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Gigo's mane

Last week I showed you Cali's beautiful mane and yesterday I went up and brushed Scout and Gigondas. I actually cleaned out 3 corrals AND brushed Cali and Gigo! Phew! Gigo is a "Cali redhead", like my mom, grandmother, and aunt (all redheads!) HA! Anyway, look at her mane! She's managed to rub off some spots. Scout has the thinnest mane of all our horses and I'll post some pics of hers this week. Here's Gigo...See, she is a redhead! I'm hoping to give them all a bath next weekend, since that will be the beginning of my spring break!

Sounds like a lot of fun...for spring break...if I lived closer I would offer a hand just to be around the horses (i love horses)!
