Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Snow!

I looked up at our local mountains Friday evening (see bottom pic) and said, "Looks like it's snowing there!"...but hubby said, "No, it's too warm!" Uh...sorry, hubby! The storm dumped 3-4 inches on our local mountains, not where our horses are, but further up. The little town of Idyllwild got a nice dusting of snow. We saw quite a few cars coming down the hill covered with snow when we drove up in the morning! We stopped and ate breakfast at our favorite restaurant/bakery there and enjoyed the view. Have a Happy Easter!

Wow...snow in April. Cool! It is not uncommon to have snow in our area in April, but today it is lovely out and in the 70's. Finally!

Happy Easter.

I enjoyed looking at the pics of your Gang. They kind-of look like mine, (including the German Shepherds) made me laugh!

How funny! Idyllwild. I've been up that hill too many times to count to spend part of the summer at Buckhorn Camp.
