Well, I took my two bags of apples from Oak Glen to school and the kiddos ate them ALL! In fact, they asked for seconds! That sure is a difference from giving them candy! There was some interesting candy, however, in Oak Glen, and lots of jams, jellies, cookies, candles, and other items! Another teacher told me today that she and her son are going to drive up there this weekend. I still have the bushel of apples for the horses, which I will give to them this weekend and the next few days after that.
Desert Horses
Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Good for you for feeding your students apples! When I was student-teaching, I had a mentor teacher who would just throw those huge two-pound bags of candies around the room to reward the kids for good behavior. It drove me crazy! If I were a parent, I'd be sending my kid's dental bills to that teacher.
That store looks like my kind of store. I love little stores like that.
