Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

pretty girl! :-)

I like this one of Gigo! Right before this, she did "airs above the ground"...kicked out and ran around the arena. It is good to see her feeling frisky! I'll drive up to see them again on Thursday...can't wait! Yesterday went SO SLOWLY! It was a typical Monday. I was tired. Kids were tired. Many yawns. I misplaced my house keys, then found them in the bag of books I bought for the kiddos at a yard sale. Go figure! Our daughter LOST her house keys and she hasn't found them! By afternoon, my back was KILLING me and I was cranky. (I have a pinched nerve). I was able to stop by, get my referral from my doctor, along with a copy of my MRI results, and WALK THEM over to the back specialist. Earliest appointment? End of the month. Oh, jeeze! Until then, I'm taking 9 Advil a DAY and icepacks at night. Obviously, NO RIDING for a while.
