Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Fence in the fog~Friday Fences~January 27, 2012

Dead tree and fence in the fog last weekend up by the horse ranch.  The weather up there is VERY different from down in the desert and I'm always intrigued by the differences between the two environments. We don't often get fog in the desert, but it is fairly frequent up in our local mountains.  SkyWatch Friday for January 27, 2012.  To visit Friday Fences, please go to:   http://lifeaccordingtojanandjer.blogspot.com/

I love fog, and love exploring what it hides! This is a great capture!! Looks like there is nothing out there beyond the tree...

Love foggy shots...we were out yesterday but it was raining to hard for me to get out, and even blowing in when I tried to open my windows to get a shot from the car.

I like this one even more than the other ones.
The lone tree made a great focal point behind the fence.

Something so plain can be made to look mysterious and worthy of a second glance i the fog!
