Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 3 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Dead tree and fence in the fog last weekend up by the horse ranch. The weather up there is VERY different from down in the desert and I'm always intrigued by the differences between the two environments. We don't often get fog in the desert, but it is fairly frequent up in our local mountains. SkyWatch Friday for January 27, 2012.
