Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Lana go "AAAAHHHHHHH!"

This is from the mouth of our nearly-three year old grandson yesterday afternoon...."Lana go 'AAAAHHHHH!" and he raised his hands in the air...hmmmm...so our son asked her what happened at the day care yesteday afternoon.  Turns out, she had taken all the kidlets out for a walk and a big dog came by and scared them...not sure if it was a pit bull or what.  After talking to the husband, they said it was a Great Dane.  Anyway, one little one got so scared he peed in his pants.  Ben, our grandson, just watched.  Remember, his family had the Weimeraner, which we now have, so he's used to big dogs.  Ahhh....from the mouths of babes!  Here are some pics from Monday's trip to the Living Desert to see the trains.  Ben is fascinated by them and I didn't get any photos of his face...he was so busy looking at them!
