Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay, October, 2015. That's Scout in the arena.

Quiet day today and more rain coming!

After the chaos of the last two days, today is a quiet, relaxing, restful one. Another storm is moving in and it is dark and dreary today. I don't feel like doing anything but staying indoors and watching movies on TV. The dogs are content to lie around us. One of them always seems to plunk down right on my feet! We had a lot of family time yesterday and I see that our daughter is already out doing her "after Christmas" shopping! I need to run out and buy dog food (I'm completely out!) and a few cleaning items from TARGET, if the crowds aren't too bad there! I'd rather be up in the mountains, but, after my bronchitis, I'm finding that I'm still very weak and I don't have much energy! I only have another week to get over it and then I head back to school. YUCK! Hubby and I may go see "True Grit" this afternoon. Actually, hubby gave me the book for Christmas and I'm LOVING it! I'll probably finish the book before we go see the movie!!!

Sounds like a great day planned but I'm not sure I want to see True Grit. In the original they killed the girl's horse (or perhaps it was in the book). "Tron" sounds good, though. Might check that out.

If you go see True Grit, you'll love it! Hubby took me out to see it, and got me a really cool handbag from Tim's Boots. I love it - got my cough medicine in there. Can't get rid of a cough. I think I might go see the doc and see if I have bronchitis too.

You will have to let me know your take on the movie if you go! We aren't doing much today either, waiting for the snow to come in.
