Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Morning dove~Camera Critters 012911

I know that this has nothing to do with horses, but I just HAD to share it with you! Isn't this little guy cute? He's just a common dove, but he had all his feathers out (sunning himself) when I walked into one of the bird avaries at the living Desert Reserve last weekend. Camera Critters for January 29, 2011. I love doves also. We have a couple pairs of mourning doves we hang out in our neighborhood and they are so sweet to watch. Great photos!

We have lots of doves here, too. and there is a couple of males that are sure that spring has come and they are in the mood for courting. As always your horse photos are great. Hope your feeling better.
