Oh, boy! THIS is an easy one! "Q" is for Quad! I mean, how easy was that? As you know, Quad is our most recently rescued horse. He came from TB Friends in Northern California. He has a wonderful, calm personality. It has been interesting watching him settle in to a new life at the ranch. At first, he was very quiet and reserved. Almost withdrawn. Now, he calls out to me, calls to other horses, makes "ugly faces" at the two horses next to him at feeding time, and is generally a real ham! He LOVES to go for long walks all over the ranch! Either hubby or I or my friend Molly will take him out for a long walk! He calmly walks right next to us. He never pulls on the lead rope. He has EXCELLENT manners. He ran in 7 races and never won a race. He's too mellow to be a race horse! I'm hoping to ride Quad and I need to see if any of my saddles will fit him! If not, I'm going to save up and have my cousin help me find one that will. He's so different from my big, butt QH gelding, Sunni! And, from our two little mustangs! So, here are some pics of Quad. ABC Wednesday for November 11, 2009. That's my friend Molly relaxing up at the ranch with Quad. She loves him and enjoys spending some of her free time with him!

What an amazing journey this special horse has had. I hope that people look at this lovely, gentle gelding and take a moment to support Joe at TB Friends and the wonderful work he does.
I am so glad Quad was rescued and found his forever home with you. One day I hope to meet him in person...next to Jack, Quad is my favorite horse.
Oh, I would LOVE for you to come and visit him, "Aunti Syndi"!!!
Quad seems like QUITE the QUALITY horse.
He's gorgeous! I just love grey TBs:)
He's VERY beautiful!! Is he narrower than the Quarter Horses?
I hope one of your saddles fits! :)
You are a special person to rescue these beautiful animals. Great shots, especially the one of Quad taking a dust bath.
Great shots!
No doubt about it, Quad is a darling boy. He has the cutest way of getting his Ya-Ya's out by jumping forward and throwing a foreleg out front. His excitement lasts all of 4 seconds and then he's ready to roll and relax. He has a tiny bit of red in his pretty coat which suggests roan somewhere in his lineage.
Quad is very special!
