Cathy and I ran errands yesterday up by the ranch. I needed dog food and she needed shavings. On our way to the feed store, we discovered this tack sale. Some gals from Temecula brought their wares up for all to see. It was fun just wandering through the sale stuff. The old saddles, "fence hangers" were $25 each. Some of the saddles there were going for $800 each! I didn't buy anything and kept my currently! I did, however, take quite a few photos! Sunday Stills Challenge for November 8, 1009.
Desert Horses
Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

How fun!
It's a good thing I wasn't there. I have a saddle addiction. I could see myself buying each $25 saddle, tearing them apart and reconstructing them like a quilt.
Neat! I've never seen tack sales like that around here.
