Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Pffffftttttttt~Cali's lesson today
Scout, Cali, and Quad all had their lessons today. All were very well behaved. Quad has really softened up and is now very fluid and pays attention! Cali got saddled for the second time. Here she is sticking her tongue out at Maia, my trainer!
