Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

On the road to Bryce Canyon National Park~Sunday stills challenge 062010

Home at last! Phew! What a whirlwind the last 5 days have been! We visited several national parks: Zion, Grand Canyon, Kanab Canyons at Zion, and finally Bryce Canyon National Park as well as Red Rock Canyon in Nevada. And, it's good to realize that we wore out two 30 year old young people! They couldn't WAIT to get home and relax! Anyway, I took these photos not at Bryce Canyon, but at the red rock canyon before the park. This area has some of the most vivid red rocks I've seen anywhere. Many people stop here and take photos before driving up to Bryce Canyon. It was good to arrive home safely and see the dogs and cats. Today I head up to see the horses. I really missed them after seeing all the horses in Utah! Sunday Stills Challenge for June 20, 2010. HAPPY FATHERS' DAY!

Again, beautiful. My Dad liked Bryce Canyon best of all the others. I seem to be remembering a lot about him today. Thanks!

I have never seen an ugly rock, just my kind of vacation.

So beautiful! I went and read the last four post and loved them all. Such beautiful places. I have been to the grand Canyon but the hubby hasn't and I hope to talk him into going for our 25th anniversary in two years!
