Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

"U" is for...ABC Wednesday 120909

"under". Here is Quad, last weekend, trying to get to some spilled hay UNDER his feeder! I was pleased to see him being able to stretch like this. He is no longer sore at all and was quite frisky, bucking and farting in his corral. He doesn't like other horses even looking at his feeder! He is quite the character! ABC Wednesday for December 9, 2009.

Hi!
Great "U" post! They both look like they going "under" their feeder for every last thing dropped. Beautiful horses. Have a great day!

Isn't it wonderful when you see them improve like that? Like watching Sid become stronger on his hind leg. Very rewarding - and you do such great work with the horses.

'Bucking and farting' ... LOL!
