Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Desert morning~SkyWatch Friday 120409

I caught this early morning sunrise last Sunday as I drove to our daughter's new house to pick up Hubby. He had stayed there overnight to watch the UCLA/USC football game and I went home to feed the cats and dogs. The next morning, Sunday, I drove out to pick him up and the desert sky was beautifully decorated with clouds. We got our first rainfall of the season. The sunlight was peeking behind the clouds and I saw this scene and stopped to capture it. SkyWatch Friday for December 4, 2009.

With fingers crossed I'm hoping this means your computer is now healed and running like a top. ??

I do like these photos. I like desert scenes anyway, so these are just special to me.

Wow looks like one dark sky - looks like a storm can erupt any second!
