Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Skywatch Friday: The coming storm...

A fairly large storm front is moving into our area. Snow is forecast down to 4,000 feet, which means I probably won't be able to drive up to see the horses this weekend. Hubby is working this weekend, also, so I may just stay home and TRY to get over this cold that I've had now for over a week. I have a four day weekend next weekend, so maybe the weather will be better then! SkyWatch Friday for February 6, 2009.

Yes, it looks like a good day to stay in if a big storm is coming. Beautiful photo! Happy Skywatch:)

Looks like a good one is brewing...those are some dark clouds building. We are due to get rain/snow as well this weekend. We are heading south to Vegas, so hope we miss most of the snow part as I hate traveling in the stuff. Happy Friday to you.

Such a heavy foreboding sky. I hope the storm blows over quickly...

A beautiful sky. This is my first visit to your blog. It's wonderful about your rescue horses. I love horses and have owned several in the past. Now I can't so it is fun to read about others who do. I invite you to come see my foggy contribution. - Margy
