Sunday was overcast and a gray day, but hubby and I had talked about driving out to Joshua Tree National Park for the afternoon, so we did. The joshua trees are so unusual~it truly is another world up there! When we got to the highest point, at over 5,000 feet, the dry wind was blowing and it chilled us to our bones! But, the view of our valley was beautiful! We could see Mt. San Jacinto, as well as the Salton Sea. And, we could also see where the San Andreas fault runs east to west through our valley. That's what one looks like I had no idea. This really is such an arid world to mine.

Wonderful post on Joshua Tree. I was there a few years back and your post brought it back for me. Fascinating area and we enjoyed our visit there. your photos are great.
It is so weird to actually "SEE" the fault line but you can. Great pictures of the Park!
Looks like a wonderful place to visit. It was cloudy here on sunday also and I spent the day out counting birds!
I used to love visiting Joshua Tree.
