Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Dad and Sunni

Since I'm not sure yet if I can even get up the mountain this weekend to visit the horses, I'm posting more pics from last weekend. This is Sunni, following hubby along the inside of the arena. For some reason, he walked all the way down to the end of the arena to check something out and when he turned around, Sunni just followed him! Good thing these two have bonded, since Sunni is the horse hubby will be riding one day! I love to watch him run in the arena. He has a very smooth gait. Maybe by my birthday, next Saturday, I'll have a video camera and I can get some video of Sunni running in the arena??? (hint, hint...hubby!)

Nice photos. You can tell Sunni loves your husband from the attention being paid to him

That connection is so intriguing, how the horse seems so quietly bonded to your husband. Love Sunni's color, too!

So cute! I love the zigzag stripe on his forehead. Kind of like Harry Potter, isn't it? ;o)

Hello, and more people like you should be created. Anyone who can and does rescue horses, or dogs, is one remarkable person out of a lot of ordinary people. I really enjoyed your blog about you and your horses and your hub who enjoys them too.

Had you not stopped and commented on my aortic aneurysm post on my Memories blog I would never have know you existed or your blog or your horses.
