Hubby and I headed over to Flagstaff from Kingman, AZ on Saturday. He wanted to see if any of the aspen outside of town still had any color on them. Nope...pretty much gone! We did drive out to Sunset Crater and there were a few aspen there still with colorful leaves. Then he suggested that we drive down Oak Creek Canyon. BINGO! Wow! The canyon was alive with all kinds of trees and yellow leaves! Some trees even had orange and red leaves, although they were few and far between. We spent over 2 hours in the canyon looking at all its beauty! If you ever want to visit this canyon, fall is the time to do so!
Desert Horses
Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Gorgeous. I especially love the top one :)
I was up there a few weeks ago, hoping for what you saw. I only saw one aspen that had turned then. At least now I know they've finally gotten to turning.
HA, my word verification is gallop!
I don't think I've ever known a couple who gets so much pleasure out of nature as you two.
Fall is pretty beautiful around here in the mountains! Love to see the color being as ours is gone!
