Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Smooch look-alike

Linda, of The 7MSN, often talks about her dog, Smooch.  Well, this weekend I saw a dog that looked so much like Smooch, I did a double take. Unfortunately, I was shooting into the sun and the photos are awful, but you get the idea, right?  He also was running up and down the fence, like Smooch sometimes does!  Here he is!

Once I had a dog that was a mix between an Australian shepherd and a Keeshond. Great dog. He eventually died and a couple of weeks later I was sitting out in the carport just doing nothing. A stray dog ran up to me and put his front feet up in my lap. That dang dog looked exactly like the shepherd/keeshond that I had. Right down to the colors on the tail and head. I pet the dog for a minute or two and then just as fast as he had come to me, he left and I never saw him again.

That was like the twilight zone or something. Wooooooo.......

Definitely looks like Smooch's long-lost sibling – especially those ears and the white-tipped tail.
