Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Ridgecrest Maturango Museum

Have you ever had a hair day like this? I have. These and other items are at the Maturango Museum in Ridgecrest, CA. We pulled in while there was still daylight and visited the garden outside the museum. Sometime in the spring, when they do their tours of the nearby Indian petrographs, we would like to take the tour. Interesting things, huh?

I love the metal art. I would like to work with metal but have never learned...one day.

I like all the old stoves together.

This must be a marvel to see.

Love the gorgeous ancient petroglyph art. We have many petroglyph art here located on old volcanic rocks and in the old Pueblo Indian cliffs and canyons.
