One of my good friends and fellow horseowner is on the board of directors of Saferhorse. I know another woman on the board. IF you wish to donate to a legitimate horse rescue, please consider SAFER, along with TB Friends, http://tbfriends.com/index.php. Joe does a wonderful job rescuing and rehoming OTTB's and other horses!

Gigondas
Gigondas is our big red thoroughbred. She had a hard previous life and was abused and HATED humans! I also adopted her from a feedlot in WA state. We are slowly training her and getting her to trust us. She is now very reliable and trusts us. It has taken a long time, but she is so worth it!
Remembering Beauty
RIP beautiful girl, June 25, 2009. Beauty died an untimely death this date. She was a kind and gentle horse who died way before her time. I MISS YOU, my Beauty. I will NEVER forget you and your kind heart.
Sunni
My first horse! He was an untrained PMU gelding. I adopted him as a yearling from United Pegasus. He is now ready for his saddle training this summer!
I've loved horses all my life but didn't get my first one until our kids left us with an empty nest! Now hubby and I have 5 horses, 2 dogs, 5 cats, and 1 grandson. Oh, and two wonderful, grown children! Hubby and I enjoy taking care of our 5 rescue horses and traveling and taking photos.

Cute critters, even the fly!
Two critters! I bet the horses don't appreciate the flies.
Good shot.
Sweet horses! Sigh!
I have almost exact the same photo of one of our horses somewhere in my archives. Same fly, different horse? Eerie ;-)
