Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Ranch fence and gate~Friday Fences~022412

I found this pretty ranch fence and gate up in Garner Valley.  GV has 5 acre ranch sites and is on the way to the horse ranch where I board my herd.  I like the bottom one because it is unspoiled by tire tracks. There are a lot of interesting fences up there and they look so different in the snow.  We had a storm roll through last week and the snow was still on the ground last Sunday. Friday Fences for February 24, 2012. To visit FF, please go to:   http://lifeaccordingtojanandjer.blogspot.com/

That gate is just begging for someone to come through...that lane looks so inviting.

What a cool gate! Love your horse with the fence behind, too.

Great gate, you almost feel compelled to open it and see what's on the other side.
