Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

sprinklers

You know, here in the desert, we just don't have much water, so it is always a pleasure seeing sprinklers on in the early morning! And the sprinklers were on one morning this week when I took my morning walk, so I had an opportunity to enjoy them and their colorful rainbows!

Hope the fires arn't affecting you and your horses as they are us. I think you may be to the west of them. Sure hope they get them out soon as so much beautiful country is being burned. These are nice photos. Whay mountains are those?

Sage, we are in California and the fire is on the Arizona/New Mexico border. Bloggers in NM have said they see the smoke already.

Mmmm! Any moisture is refreshing to see!

The rainbows you captured are pretty.
