When we stopped at the BLM corrals in March, these were some of the geldings in the pens. These guys were so friendly and came up to the fence for carrots! I wish I could take them ALL home! They were such cutie pies! We always stop and buy carrots and go out of our way to stop by the Ridgecrest corrals whenever we drive to Northern California.
Desert Horses
Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

What sweet boys. They all look like they wanted you to take them home. I woiuld take home every horse if I could.
Hi Cheryl! Thanks for visiting, I've actually lurked on your blog for a while now. Love those Canyon de Chelly horses.
Tanning the snake is skinning it and "tanning" the hide so it stays supple and you can make whatever out of it. I will post that in a few days, but right now I'm off to the vets with the stray dog. They are full up, but I'm paying out of pocket to get his eye fixed and wormed.
Keep up the good work, I'll be back!
Dont you wish you could take them all? They are so beautiful...Were they really that willing to be near you?
