Desert Horses

Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Snow and fences~Friday Fences~121611

After the recent snow storm this week, I drove around Garner Valley looking at the snow on the fences there.  The snow made everything look completely different.  Everything was cold and white.  Snow sat on the white fences as well as the tall grasses outside one fence.  Another storm may be heading this way this weekend, so more snow may be on the way.  Friday Fences for December 16, 2011. It may be cold but I bet it was a welcome sight in the high desert. The storms have been heading south leaving us pretty dry here in the north part of the state.

The snow capped tall grasses are beautiful! And that third photo ... stunning. It would make me stop and stare (and photograph) too!

I got chilly just looking at these - but thoroughly enjoyed the cold beauty!

What a heavenly snow. Just the right amount to make everything look white and beautiful. I love the wooden ranch archways with the snow around them So pretty. Lovely shots. genie
