Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I now have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Merry Christmas to all my friends and followers. I haven't had a decent day up with the horses, but today we're going to our son's for breakfast, then I'll dash up the hill, unload 3 bags of pellets, feed everyone a nice Christmas day extra meal, dash back down the hill, and have dinner with our son's family. Phew! What a day! The horses are all fine and wooly! Cathy and Bill are getting ready for the Rose Parade. Look for the Southern California Peruvian Paso Association's horse group. They do the Rose Parade every year. Have a wonderful holiday. See you next week! For those of you who follow Joe at TB Friends, he'll be posting this morning about Magic, the horse he is getting from the feedlot today. I can't wait to see Magic!
