Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Scout and her new digs
Well, Scout has settled in nicely in her new corral. She gets to see EVERYTHING that is going on! Nosy, nosy Scout! She doesn't have Cali now to boss around, which is a relief for Cali, I'm sure!

She does look like she's having fun looking at everything!
Do you trail ride your horses? Sometimes they get too attached to each other and it's tough when one goes and leaves the other. It's a nice change for them to be apart.
