Monday was moving day. There is a larger corral next to our two mustangs and only one horse was in it, so Cathy moved two of her Paso Finos over to it on Monday. Oh, boy! New neighbors! Unfortunately, Scout acted like SUCH A BRAT that we decided she should be moved, too, away from her buddy of two years, Cali. Scout is an alpha mare and she has bullied Cali for so long, we decided to give Cali a break. And, Scout was challenging the 2 mares next door and kept running into the fence trying to bite them! So, she also got a change of scenery. We moved Sunni in with Cali, and Scout down to Sunni's corral, next to Beauty. Sunni and Cali are both more laid back and he won't boss Cali around like Scout! Phew! Look at Scout, "WHERE am I? Where's Cali?" Awww...she'll be fine!

Sometimes it is better to rearrange things, particularly if a horse is being pushed around too much by another horse - nice that you had the flexibility to do it.
Being a teacher, I suspect you are good about managing seating arrangements. ;) Horses can be such butts when it comes to introducing newcomers to the herd. Bombay tried to bite Gabbrielle's ears off over the fence when I first brought her home. Now she's kicking his butt and they are the best of friends.
I just had to change some seating arrangements at the office, because management put a new guy next to me who won't shut up. I keep making mistakes because he distracts me. He feels the need to verbalize his every thought and I literally can't complete a single task when I am in the office. So, we moved him into a out-of-the way cubicle and surrounded me with quiet, hard-working interns.
Wow. Lots of changes and new adjustments for all the horses. Horses are so weird with the way they have to work through herd introductions. If they weren't so big and strong, it wouldn't be so scary, eh?
