Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Ranch roses
I always drive by the roses up at the ranch, get out, and take some photos. They are so beautiful! Of course, they have PLENTY of horse manure to enjoy! I hope these brighten your day.
My mother had some beautiful roses in brick flower boxes along her driveway for about 50 years. Just the other day I looked at her house on Google street view and saw that the new home owners tore everything out. I'm sure they wanted to widen the driveway, because the flower boxes did jut out and cause quite a few car accidents... but the roses were so beautiful. Who cares about all the scratches and dents on cars they caused?

School should be out now. Are you traveling?
No. I have one more week of school next week. Ugh. Kids are HORRIBLE. They don't want to do ANYTHING. PERIOD.
