Desert Horses
Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Here they come!
I stopped by my cousin Valerie's ranch Sunday morning to see if she was home. Her front gate was open, her truck was in the driveway, but apparently nobody was home!!! The cats were out, the horses were out, but no people were around. I went and hung out with her three horses for a while and they came right up to me at the fence, on their own! They are very friendly. I've ridden them before and they are well trained. Turns out, she and her hubby went to church. I'm sorry I missed her and I may stop by again next weekend. Aren't they beautiful? They are Tennessee Walkers.

yes they looke like walkers. heads are very simular to my Walker/Shetland who is black and white pinto, too. But pinto coloring came from his shetland mama.
Thanks for your comments on my cat. Good luck with your hunter. I think all cats are hunters if they have a chance but some are hunters more so than others.
