Desert Horses
Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

I'm missing my horses, but feeling better today!
So I'll be heading up the mountain this morning! I'm actually going through "horse withdrawal"!!! I was telling my students that when you describe something, you should also tell how it smells and how much I love "horse smells". Especially Sunni. He has a real earthy, sweaty horse smell! I wish I could bottle it! And, that got me thinking...in terms of smell, I love Sunni's smell the best, then Gigondas, then Scout and Cali. I don't think I've ever really smelled Quad! HA! Guess I'll have to do that this morning! And, it's amazing what lounging around all day in your pajamas can do. I feel so much better this morning! I'm also using Firefox, not Internet Explorer, and I'm not having ANY of the problems that I was having with Explorer! Thanks, Lisa! That was a good tip! Lisa suggested that I switch over to Firefox. Hubby already had it on this laptop and believe me, I'm actually NOT sitting here pulling out my hair! :-)
UPDATE: Okay...here's my list of horse smells: Best smell: Sunni, then Gigondas, then Quad, then Scout, then Cali. Cali had almost no smell today. Do mustangs smell less than other horses? I'm asking because both Scout and Cali have almost no smell!

I just agree with you on the smells! I actually love the smell of the horse stalls when I am cleaning, crzy huh!
Glad to hear you're feeling better.
Love my horses smell too. Sometimes I leave my tack in the truck to perfume the interior ;) Firefox is the best!
