Well, I left school right on time this afternoon and drove up the mountain to buy sweet feed for the herd. While we aren't having a storm like the Midwest, we ARE having freezing temps AND wind. Lots and lots of wind. I wanted to make sure the herd got an extra meal with some oil tonight. The ranch owners were busy unplugging all the automatic waterers, preparing for the low overnight temps. A severe froze alert is on down here in the desert tonight, which means that the growers will be protecting their peppers and other warm season crops. Sunni and Quad had their lesson this week. I don't know how it went because the ranch owner was down in the valley with one of her horses. UPDATE: No baked ziti last night. Hubby worked too late. Instead I had one of the PF Chang's Orange Chicken dinners. Maybe pasta tonight!

Hard to imagine it getting that cold with that bright sun. Stay warm.
Great pics!
I bet the horses appreciated the extra groceries to get through the colder nights.
It's -10 degrees here right now. And the snow is still blowing horizontally. Expecting the temperature to get even lower before the morning. Brrrr!
