Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

iron horse and blue sky~SkyWatch Friday, May 29, 2009
Early one morning last weekend, I grabbed my cameras and off I went, exploring. I traveled down this road which also has a large boarding facility. I like this iron horse against the blue desert sky. SkyWatch Friday for May 29, 2009.
There's a place around here that sells those metal sculptures, an iron works place--cast-iron maybe--but I've never priced them--I'd love to have one at the entrance of our place. (I heard they're expensive).
I love the iron horse! It reminds me of an iron horse that sits inside the Ironstone Winery in Murphys,Ca. Thanks for sharing your lovely horse and blue sky! Have a super Friday! Caprice
