Welcome to my horse blog, Desert Horses. We live in the desert southwest, near Palm Springs, CA, but board our horses up in our local mountains where it is cooler in the summer. I have 4 horses, all rescues. Here is the ranch up the mountains where the horses stay.

Just around the ranch last weekend
Just a few photos from around the horse ranch last weekend...
Hello from Alberta! How wonderful it is to see roses still blooming! We've had a few frosts of late and my citronella plant finally gave up. I haven't seen anything blooming here for some time now. A skiff of snow that didn't last and chilly nights but I can't complain. It's been a mild autumn here. Cheers!

the ranch looks like a beautiful place to hang out. glad Quad is doing better.
