This week's Sunday Challenge was black and white. Now, I don't take my photos in b&w and I don't have Photoshop or Illustrator or Quark or any fancy photo enhancing programs on my computer. Hubby does at his office (he is, after all, a graphics designer!), but I'm just a teacher going around with my camera hanging around my neck! I did use Quark Express a few years ago, after he set up a template for me to do my union's monthly newsletter, but I've NEVER used Photoshop or Illustrator. I wouldn't even know where to begin. But, I read somewhere, on another blog, that some people use Photobucket, so I uploaded a couple of photos I thought might be interesting to try to convert to black and white. I also included the color ones for you to see. So, using the Photobucket "edit" mode, I changed these two to b&w. What do you think for my first effort? Sunday Stills for May 10, 2009. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
I like them ~ especially the horse's mane. Really nice!
ReplyDeleteI've never used any of those programs either. Going to have to check out photobucket.
Cheryl, that mane photo is stunning in B & W. I have to revisit photobuckets editing tools. I have photoshop elements and paint.net which I like for analyzing hoof photos for my hoof trimming. The program I use the most (like always) is Picassa. Love it for its quality and simplicity.
ReplyDeleteVery cool Captures in here. I like the second one the most.:D
ReplyDeleteVery nice, the horses mane looks great..:-)

ReplyDeleteI find it amazing how a regular picture becomes spectacular in B&W love the horse mane.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Google also has a free program called Picaso that allows you to do some photo editing. I've never used it but my husband used to, and he loved it.
