You wash...We like to stuff them with fresh garlic. You wash them, pour some olive oil in between the leaves, stuff them with the garlic, maybe sprinkle on some salt or Lawry's, then cook them in a big pot for about 45 minutes. I'll never forget the time a friend from England came over for dinner...she had NO idea what to do with them. Some people cut off the stickers at the end of leaves...we just eat them carefully! You can dip them in either butter or mayo. We flavor our mayo with Chulula pepper sauce...yummy!
