We live down on the desert valley floor, where, in the summers it can get over 120 degrees! Our home is in the desert, but we board our horses up in the mountains. Believe me, during those hot summer days, it is wonderful to drive up to the mountains and get cool! But...the winters there are much more severe than the desert.
