EXCELLENT video on MSNBC about a trainer at Suffolk Downs who..SIT DOWN...saves horses instead of sending them to slaughter.  Ever wonder what happens to a thoroughbred after his or her races days are over?  Yup.  Many times they are sent to slaughter to be eaten by Europeans and the Japanese.  (...shudder...)  This is the story of one trainer who sends them to CANTER and they are retrained.  I salute and applaud her!  Here is the link: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/27847733#27847733
