I got some pics of hubby and Gigondas on Saturday. Brush, brush, brush...sigh, sigh, sigh. She stood absolutely still for him! I was in there cleaning out her corral. (I got the "dirty" job!) Hmmmppffff! Oh, well! I got to brush Cali! Here are some pics of hubby with "his girl".

ReplyDeletePanama didn't like being groomed when I first brought him to Denver. He was 2 and had only been groomed 2 or 3 times, by me on visits to my in-laws' place. He was really nervous and jumpy when I'd groom him. I had to find a curry he liked (which was difficult, as he is extremely ticklish), and I developed a routine of giving him treats during grooming sessions to give him something to look forward to.
The other day I realized that he actually LIKES being groomed now. It's been a gradual process, but I just now noticed how big of a difference there is. He especially likes to sunbathe and be groomed at the same time, and invariably lets it all hang out, if you know what I mean!
